On Sunday September 24th, 2011 we launched our new
vision. It's the culmination of a year of seeking the Lord. Many of the
details of it's implementation are still being worked out, and we welcome
comments and suggestions.
Sunday January 8th we met to develop our plan to implement the new vision for Prince
George - during the 10:10 AM Adult Education time. You can read meeting
outline here.
Key to the success of our new vision will be the active involvement of our congregation in general, along with leadership from several members. We
discussed the role of individuals who will participate in an immersion experience of study, prayer, and ministry.
We also discussed the seven “Coordinator” positions described in the vision. Finally, we discussed the various ideas under each of the 5 emphases (learning, loving, worshiping, serving and proclaiming) to determine our initial priorities.
While these are turbulent times in our society and in The Episcopal Church, these are also exciting times at Prince George. The opportunity to become a learning, loving, worshiping, serving and proclaiming church and to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst is exhilarating. Join us as we seek to be Christ’s church in our community!
