Each
year we present Handel's 'Messiah' by candlelight and for the glory
of God. The next event is scheduled for Sunday 17th December, 2012 at 6pm.
The choir and soloists (all regular worshipers at
Prince George), will sing Part 1 (the Christmas section), plus well
loved arias and choruses from Parts 2 & 3, including
'Hallelujah' and 'I know that my Redeemer liveth'. A copy of
the program from last year, including the full text of 'Messiah' can be downloaded here. The regular Prince George Adult
Choir are joined by the Youth section of the Junior
Choir (always a high point!).
Last year the soloists were include:
Bass
Tenor
Alto
Soprano |
Jason Hamshaw (our extremely talented Youth
Minister)
Jeremy Vause (our leader
tenor and 'in demand' local soloist)

In addition to the organ, the accompaniment was
supplied by harpsichordist

At
the end of the evening everyone is invited to a reception in the
Parish Hall.
