Valentine's Day Celebration of Marriage and Meal

This year Valentines Day falls on a Sunday, and we invite you to come for a romantic catered supper in the Parish Hall preceded by a service of Thanksgiving and celebration of Marriage in the church.

The idea came from Jon and Sarah Blamire who almost never get to celebrate their wedding anniversary because it's in the week before Christmas (the last one was on the same day as 'Messiah'). They've been married for 22 years, love each other dearly but no longer fit their wedding attire! What better alternative than Valentines Day, especially when it falls on a Sunday. They hope you will feel the same way and share this special service with them, the Fueners and the Morgans.

The service will begin at 5pm in church and includes music, a celebration of marriage, communion and a blessing. It’s not just for couples; the whole parish, family and friends are invited to come for worship and to support our marriages. There will be a nursery available, although we encourage children to come see what mom and dad are doing.

The 3-course meal is catered by Puttin’On the Grits and will cost $8.00 per person. Couples and families are welcome. Alternatively, if you want to take a meal home, one can be boxed for take out. Meals must be booked in advance with Lauren in the office (lauren@pgwinyah.org or 546-4358) by 4pm on Monday 8th February.
