We are a church that loves, serves, and gives. One of the ways that the Lord reveals His purpose in our lives is through the compassion we show our family, friends, and strangers. We have joyfully and lovingly shared what we have been given with the Ford and Welch family. We have remembered their wonderful families in prayer, in words, and in deeds.

We have another family at PGW who is experiencing an extended stay at MUSC. Scottie Benford was born five weeks ago prematurely and will be at that hospital for several more weeks. Our youth and staff want to lead a new initiative to remember the Benfords as well as support them during this time of need and separation. 

The church's youth will be gathering and baking Saturday, 7/24/21, from 3 pm – 5 PM. Pizza will be provided for the youth that show up to help. 

We would also welcome all members of the church family that have the time to consider baking a dozen cookies, brownies, or loaves of bread and dropping them off during the "Youth Baking for a Purpose" event.

The following day the youth will be offering these baked goods at no charge to the congregation after all three Sunday services on 7/25/21. Each thoughtfully baked item will be fastened with a notecard to remind the recipient to pray for these families.

If they would like to donate support, drop off a check or go online and contribute to the discretionary fund. All the monies collected will be distributed to the Benford family by the end of the month.
