‘I felt empowered.’ Thus spoke a dear friend of her experience of receiving the Laying on of Hands from the Bishop on Confirmation Sunday. She experienced and identified the primary benefit of the Sacrament of Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation offered by the Church. As Ryan has reminded us: ...through the Bishop’s laying on of hands and prayer for a daily increase in the Holy Spirit, God strengthens the believer for Christian life in the service of Christ and his kingdom. 

For whom is this available? For those who are joining Prince George from a different denomination. And, for any member of the church family who has experienced a renewal of their life in Christ and wish to make a public profession that a new journey in Christ has been begun. For both kinds of people, this is a singular opportunity to be empowered by the Holy Spirit for further ministry through the laying on of hands by our chief authority, the Bishop of our Diocese.

To further prepare for this special occasion, we have available a five-week offering from November 8th to December 6th.

We will meet on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the Panel Room of the Parish Hall. There is a sign-up sheet available at the entrance to the church and in the parish office in order to register for the class. Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation will take

place on Sunday, December 11, at the 10:00 am service with a celebration reception to follow. We will welcome among us The Rt. Rev. Chip Edgar, our Bishop.
