On Sunday, October 18, we will be joined by Bishop Chip Edgar for his annual visit, during which he will conduct the rite of Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation (BCP beginning page 175). 

Confirmation is for those who have not yet made a public and personal profession of faith or received the laying on of hands by a Bishop. 

Reception is for those who have been Confirmed in another tradition by a Bishop, but are being welcomed in the Anglican Church.

Reaffirmation is for those who have already been Confirmed or Received into the Anglican Church, but are either returning to Jesus after a season of falling away or are sensing a desire to renew their Christian commitment in a public way.

This is an opportunity, particularly for those who are new to the PGW family and the Anglican tradition, to express your commitment to our church and to Jesus Christ with a formal, liturgical expression. Those desiring to be Confirmed will need to commit to a four-week Confirmation Class beginning in September.
