Prince George Winyah is a covenant church member of Helping Hands. Over thirty years ago, thirteen churches throughout Georgetown County came together to supply assistance for residents in need. PGW was among the original founding churches to begin this ministry. Helping Hands started as a location to receive and distribute food items to our neighbors in need and has grown to include dental services, career building services, and youth education advancement.
As a covenant church, volunteers assist at the warehouse location, participate in several yearly canned food drives from the congregation, work as a recipient of funding for day to day activities through PGW’s Local Outreach, and assist with food drives located at differing sites throughout our community.
