Director of Communications
Karen is a Columbia, SC native who recently relocated to Georgetown after many years of visiting Pawleys Island. She has worked in the field of public relations and marketing for 35+ years and is excited to assist Prince George Winyah with its communications.
A proud Gamecock, Karen earned degrees in business administration and mass communication from the University of South Carolina. During her career, she has worked for nonprofits, local and state government agencies, several small businesses and in higher education. She has a passion for making a difference and looks forward to serving God in this new role.
A cradle Episcopalina now Anglican, she has served the church in numerous roles over the years, including worship leader, vestry member, and hospitality leader. Karen's family includes son Jimmy and his wife Taylor, who reside in St. Matthews, son Will in Chapin, and her wonderful cat Lt. Dan.
