At the end of June, 62 PGW members of all ages traveled to Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, NC for the annual Renewal Retreat. The week was filled with inspiring Christian teaching from Dr. Jerry Root, immersive praise and worship, fellowship with believers from across the southeast (and a few from outside the southeast), daily Eucharist in one of Kanuga's beautiful outdoor chapels, and intensive, Holy-Spirit-led intercessory prayer. As Mike Lumpkin said in his sermon last Sunday, it was a week where those gathered "devoted themselves to the Apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers" (Acts 2:42). 

Renewal provides a space and a community where the weary can come to Jesus and experience refreshment of the Soul and rest from the stress and anxiety of everyday life in the world. The beauty of God's creation provides the setting for healing, spiritual growth, deeply rooted relationships, and a glimpse of God's Heavenly Kingdom.
