Historically, December is Prince George Winyah’s highest-income month of the year. Our annual operating expenses depend on God’s faithfulness, which is expressed through the pledged generosity of our church’s members and friends.

This year’s operating budget only increased by 6% over 2024, yet we have one of the largest budgeted pledge income shortfalls of the past six years. Nearing the end of December, our budgeted income shortfall stands at $216,421. The positive news is that in the middle of 2025, PGW received unexpected operating income. Those unexpected funds, plus expense control, have kept the church vital and growing. Thanks be to God for His perfect timing!

There is, however, a strong need to balance the pledged income budget so that our mission and ministries continue strong as ever in 2026. Those of us who made an annual pledge for 2025, please take a moment and consider what the Lord has given you this year. If it was more than you pledged, please prayerfully consider one more sacrificial gift to the mission and expenses of this church.

If you joined Prince George in 2025, or are a newcomer and considering making this your church home, would you prayerfully consider making a substantial gift to the church and thereby join us in balancing our budget?

We will provide weekly financial updates between now and the close of the year.

Blessed Advent,

The Very Reverend Gary N. Beson, II
